    Queue not present

I have seen the apologies by Square Enix.
I have seen the statements saying they will resolve the problem next week after the three-four day weekend we have starting tomorrow.
I have seen the explanations about why there are restrictions, character restrictions, login restrictions etc.

THE ONE THING I HAVE NOT SEEN: Why is there not a functioning queue?

ALL the apologies and explanations in the world do absolutely nothing if you have constantly ignored the most completely obvious one: why can you not wait in a queue. Even if people had to wait in a 2000 person queue then they would much prefer that than playing the four hour lottery (I have been trying for 4 hours 15 minutes now)

If I am mistaken please source it for me - why has Square Enix not implemented a queue?

There was a queue system in place and it is sort of still there but in a broken state.
My best guess is that when the automated server locking was introduced it screwed up the queue system so that it is no longer reliable and doesn't function as it should.
Hopefully once the server locks are removed, the queue system will start functioning again as they are supposed to.

I have seen the apologies and everything as well.

Still doesn't change the fact that when I have time to actually play this game I can not. Seeing that I spent Money on a game that I am not able to play.

Which leads me into another problem. I'm not going to pay monthly for a game that doesn't let you play. That is just stupid. I get a free 30days with purchase... but with how things are going that is not true.

So what is Square going to do for the people that paid good money for this game that can only play 10% of the time.

They've already said they are working on compensation to be announced soon, likely in the form of a trial extension.
