Guild Wars 2 had the same issue in large scale WvWvW fights. There's too many people, too many things for the game to keep track of over a network connection, and as a result it loses data. A lot of it. The problem is that the game isn't putting priority on the packets that pertain to monsters, but instead companions and minions.

The most likely reason this isn't fixed yet is because it probably requires a complete rework of the networking code. It's a lot of work. Doesn't make it acceptable, of course, but just pointing it out.

Yea... it's not a data issue. It's a design issue. EVE online can render 3000+ ships together all shooting lasers and missiles at each other yet it's still playable client side. GW2 no longer has this issue because they got rid of it when they made optimization to fix their shitty design.

On Goblin Server I only first encountered this problem with the Svara fight. It is annoying as hell.

I wish I had a hundred thumbs so I could like OP a hundred times.

Whoever thought that seeing players was more important than, seeing the objective, was completely out of his mind.

Guys, join a party with PC players (preferably) , they are going to have more of a chance of being able to see and hit monsters. Giving you loads of XP and gold medals, even if you rarely contribute.

It's the only way to do it.

But why should we HAVE to do that? Some people like soloing, some people like doing fates while waiting for duty finder, some people can't find parties regardless of how many shouts and invites they throw out there.

SE this is a wake up call. Your about to start your 1st billing cycle and quite frankly I doubt I'm going to sign up.
Due to the sheer large number of FATE grinds at level 38+ forward... It's impossible for PS3 users to gain the same amount of experience as a PC user.
I can tell you this from facts. I currently play PS3 and my friend on PC . He averages 22k exp Svara Coerthas Central Highlands. I get 2k if I am lucky. Let me put it this way. Why would anyone want to pay to not be able to play. I watched my friend level up twice as fast as me.
How is this fair ? He is doing lvl 50 dungeons waiting on me to catch up.... I keep telling him I cant.. Monsters wont load for me.
He feels bad for me.. and says That SUX. I blame PS3 for junk Hardware.. He makes a point though.. It's SE fault for allowing it to be sold on PS3 broken.

The game being on PS3 was just a fulfilled promise; wasn't ideal. It will be much better on the PS4 given more (slightly better tech) RAM and roughly 2 Teraflops of processing power. Not exactly on par with some 4-8 Teraflop high-spec PC's but it will suffice to play this game.
I can't tell you how important it is that this game badly needs to be on PS4 because it has no future on PS3... A wasted investment.

The problem that will remain after PS4 comes out is the stress on the servers and network latency when being in these populated zones. That is up to SE to find a solution to.

This is not an issue that is more common on lower end systems and PS3(and to bunch the PS3 as a lower end system is an example of not knowing anything about the PS3). It's a game issue, that is only made slightly worse by your internet connection speed.

Proves you know nothing about the PS3. the PS4 is actually a technological step backwards from the PS3. The Cell is more powerful then any processor you can get your hands on. Ever wonder why the PS3 only has 256Mb of RAM? Because it runs nothing on RAM after starting the game. Everything is processed so fast that information hardly ever sits in the cache. FYI, the cell was the first processor to exceed petaflops. Peta > tera.
