2 weeks into game and still no official word from SE on a fix for this problem. Seeing how turning on digital download sales again was priority.. I doubt that anything will be done regarding FATE /mob renders. PS3 users will suffer the most as there is nothing you can do to increase CPU functions. It is what it is.
By the way .. because the game will be a direct port from PS3 to PS4 dont expect a huge jump in performance. The basic concept for SE is to map the new buttons of the PS4 controller not the game content. So if your having trouble leveling to 50 on PS3 my only suggestion is to do Dungeon Runs over and over and over and over.
I don't expect this to be fixed anytime soon. This is really a shame as I was looking forward to getting to level 50. I'll probably stop playing all together if something isn't done in the next month.
SE you need to fix this. FATEs are such a huge part of this game (YOU ALMOST FORCE THEM ON US!) and they aren't playable once you get to around level 35.
how about:
NPC - Party - Mobs - non party players - Companions - SPELL EFFECTS - Minions
the option to disable or limit visible spell effects (none/self/group/all) is fairly standard, and I strongly suspect this plays a factor.
edit: actually found the section, hidden under character config->character. Counter-intuitive place to put a graphics setting, but it is there
Tired of dying to fate bosses (Gorgimera comes to mind) because I can't even see the red due to the ball of bluish-white caused by spell effects.
And seriously, auto-group function on fate 'discovery'

Not only do I have effects for all characters turned off already, but I also have all names and health bars disabled for everyone who isn't a party member or NPC unless I target them. It still doesn't help. I'm not even near Coerthas in my game yet, and I'm having this issue with popular Fates. Cancer in the the "It's Not Lupus" fate is not playable. I can see plenty of other people fighting and/or standing around getting killed, but no monster. This needs immediate action.how about:

+1
Just tried to fight Behemoth on Coeurl and only hit him at all because of spammed AoE attacks.
I'm getting this at most fates at my level! I have 50 meg cable and it has nothing to do with that. I am doing fates in southern shroud and instill have this problem
Sqeenix you need to get on this now. You advertise Odin and Behemoth as part of great end game challenges, and yet so far the only challenge has been seeing them. I would propose several changes in addition to adjusting load priority.
1) just as if you don't lvl sync down you cant dmg a mob, anyone under lvl 50 should not be able to dmg Odin or Behemoth
2) as stated by many others in this thread, non party member pc should have the lowest load priority
3) If you can't see the boss, and therein can not do dmg to him, he should not be able to do dmg to you.
Plz and thank you. this is much more important use of resources than an AFK kicker.
Just keeping this thread alive.
I have the same damnnn problem -_-
