Complaint about server issues

I usually don't post in forums very much, but here these past couple of days my frustration has built up to the point where I just need to vent a little. First off to Square Enix, congratulations! You managed to take the flop that was 1.0 and turn in completely around. Now, that being said I would assume that because of the giant disappointment that 1.0 was you would be on top of this server issue you are having. I purchased this game and so did a friend of mine, and we have only gotten to play it for around 30 minutes. Every time we try to log in we don't even get put into a queue, we are just told that the server is full we are SoL, and get kicked back to the main menu. Now as a 1.0 player I feel like you owe me more than this for actually coming back to play. The one time I did manage to log in I noticed a BUTT TON of players just standing around AFK. You need to implement an afk booting system and you need to do it quick, because I'm sure there are hundreds of other players out there like myself that feel like their money has been wasted because they can't even play the game they payed for. You say that by the beginning of next week you will add in some servers to solve the problem, but before that I want a booting system implemented to kick all the people just sitting around not allowing the rest of us to get in and enjoy this wonderful game we all payed money for.

I totally agree been trying most day can't get onto giglamesh server. yesterday logged with little trouble but towns full of afk people. if they re introduced queue system and do a no movement auto logoff, people could actually get to play.

Completely unable to log into Cactuar. Error 1017. Seriously, please address this fast.

I feel like i've spent more of my time on the main menu then I have in game, and only because of this 1017 issue.

what the hell SE . Ive deal with all the bad and good things about ffxiv .I started at 1.0 paid all this money CE. What i get back ( High Blood Pressure ). This not cool at all why is it so hard for you just to put a auto d/c for standing around to long . That will fix some of the problem .You said you guys are working on it but the people will help with that because they not going to play this game and you will have the room .To keep your people that are loyal and do support your broke game help some and start BOOTING this afk people . FIX PLEASE im tired of tring to get in. Most People said well its free right now ( SO WHAT) .Just remeber it wasnt free to get it from gamestop or whatever store you got it from .

What they are not telling us is that they probably NEED all those people standing around doing nothing to keep their servers from crashing.

What I don't understand is, what did they expect? Did they really think all those pre-sales of the game were people that were going to wait weeks before trying to play? How do you so grossly underestimate the demand for the system? All they had to do was look at sales statistics, and build-up their datacenters appropriately.

well ive been d/c for 6hrs now and on my wife friends list in the game it say im still in Toto-rak. So how can you guys say you are monitoring this when it is clear that im not there but my character is still in there.Whats the point of this .Why are we wasting our time in writing post .We still stuck , we still cant log in So we waste more countless hours and sec of our life that we cant get back on you guys . I HAD MORE FUN WITH 1.0 and it didnt have any content.At least i was able to log in and play something

They ARE fixing it. Read their updates. The data center improvements should be finished next week.

agreed its been 2 hrs trying to log in. I was very happy to get back to mmos and now I get this is so freaking frustrating.

Then don't say it. People know it. Does that mean that they don't have a right to vent their frustrations? No. So if you are annoyed by these people venting their legitimate concerns and angers, then don't read them. Move along.
