Regarding FFXIV ARR Support. (Character Resto / V.i.a E-mail support, etc etc.)

Hello everyone, I just had a quick question regarding FFXIV's support team. I had a blunder yesterday where I deleted my 1.0 Legacy character thinking I could remake and the legacy tattoo would still be there etc etc. Needless to say I feel foolish, however while I know that SE, especially during these days / weeks coming up is under heavy load interms of customer support. Has anyone per chance had an opportunity to talk to anyone? Either live chat, e-mail or phone ..?

My OCD has me refreshing my inbox every hour hoping for a response, but I was also wondering if anyone per chance had the opportunity to have a character restored once deleted? (I know, the game just came out and the chances are slim.) I was just wondering if someone could give me some insight as to how long I should expect to wait and what their personal experience with support has been since ARR launched, particularly to character restoration.. if anyone's done it, I mean. :3

For that kind of issue, I wouldn't even try until next week. There's so many other issues of people not even being able to play for them to sort through. And if they do get to your ticket, I've never heard of an MMO giving back a deleted character.

once you delete a character, it's gone, unless you can get SE to have a roll back on your account, and i don't know if they can do that or not. Nor have i even heard of a MMO restoring a deleted character.

I hope, I mean I can still search my character in Lodestone, so he must still be there.. somewhere. XD

On the lodestone database cache sure, but probably only until it get's updated. You're character data is still somewhere but it would require a rollback, and those are always hit and miss whether they can do it or not.

yeah, I suppose that might be my only solution. heh, i'll even take a complete reset on my account. I dont mind starting fresh as long as I have my legacy mark. :c

Seeing there is no character restore button on the character screen, to me it's gone.
