    If Cure is generating too much enmity for you to hold hate, it's on your end. Update your Gear, work on your skill rotation or whatever. I've tanked everything from Lvl 1-50 so far w/o any enmity issues at all, especially not aganist healers.
    I'm mostly healing on my SCH right now for Endgame stuff and I never grab hate from any Tank that I know is a decent tank...so yeah...the fault is on your end and you might wanna work on that.

    I was having that problem this morning. Except everyone was attacking something different, so I had to spam cure and medicia to keep them alive. Then I had to run around for a while before someone finally got them off me. I think when the overheal trait kicks in, that is when monsters start to notice me alot.

    That's an interesting thing to know, that regen draws hate per tick, rather than a constant value on cast as enhancing magic in XI.

    And if that's mmo healing 102, then it's understandable how players coming from XI wouldn't know this.

    WHM actually does make a surprising amount of enmity through their healing as apposed to SCH, but they also get Shroud of Saints which should help.

    If this happens your tank sucks, thats about all I can say, No healer whether whm or sch has ever pulled a mob off my warrior so far, mind you paladins suck at keeping threat from mutiple mobs so if it was a paladin I could probally see this happening if they do not spam the hell out of flash, since until level 50, this is really their only means of getting aoe threat reliably.

    Have you checked the enmity tables?

    Assuming you have shield oath, putting a full Rage of Halone combo is usually more efficient than three rounds of flash.

    With the best weapon damage (44), flash gives a rough base of 550 enmity to all mobs (1650 in 3 turns) while a full Halone combo will place 5900 enmity (800, 1500, and 4100) either on one mob or spread out among various mobs.

    Flash is best used spaced out between or within your combos (after a halone or a fast blade is good) to maintain a bit of enmity on surrounding mobs and stretch out the mana regen for it's upkeep.

    I wouldn't say it's obvious, a lot of MMOs promote healers putting out HoTs before the pull so they can be at full mana with healing already being applied.

    However, yes, FFXIV counts overhealing as threat as well. So use your heals efficiently and wisely! (Such as not using medica if only 2 people are hurting.)

    Granted during bosses the tank will eventually push way ahead of you and you can do what you please.

    This can't be true and most likely flat out lies unless youre playing with your friends since lv.15 and never had to use DF ever.

    GLD only has flash as an aoe threat generator when u first pulling a group of 4link'd sleep immune mobs theres no way you can hold aggro onto all of them UNLESS your party wait for you to generate threat on all 4 for AT LEAST 15seconds but STILL you will most likely unable to hold aggro on them all since your healer has to keep you alive with massive amount of heals.
