Chocobo Whistle not recieved

Steps:
1. Completed quest "My Little Chocobo"
2. Did not recieve item "Chocobo Whistle"


Edit: I tried to follow template, but this links EXTACTLY sums up what my problem is which is in the resolved forum, but I don't see any info how it was resolved.

Edit 9/4: Problem solved. Link stated "Calamity Salvager..... Problem solved please delete." So it did say in a way say how it was resolved, however, I did not know it was a NPC where you could retrieve items from pre-AAR.
Hope this can clarify others who do not know what Calamity Salvager means.
