    Materia Melding

    Are there special requirements to be able to meld materia onto gear past its total shown available slots? I have a piece of gear with 4 slots, and it won't let me attempt to meld a fifth materia to it.

    You need to complete the quest and learn Advance materia melding.

    Thanks, I felt like I was missing something. I was able to do melding and materia creating because of my 1.0 character but I guess i hadn't unlocked advanced melding yet.
