    Just to clarify

    Hi all,

Should the desire strike am I actually able to train all classes to max level? I get the impression this is the case but I've not found anywhere that explicitly confirms it.

If so it will be nice to be able to change roles (i.e. tank to healer) when I feel like a change rather than having to make a new character like it most MMO's.

    Regards,

    Taelsin

You are correct. There is nothing game-wise that would limit you from taking all Classes and Jobs to 50.

That is correct. You may have a level 50 of every class/job on one character. Switching between classes is as simple as changing your weapon. You can even save entire gear sets and switch between classes by equipping a saved set.

It's one of the things I love most about this game. I'm a huge alt-o-holic in other MMO games, but now I can still devote my time to just one character.

Awesome sauce. I'm not no hurry to hit max level so will just meander through the classes

    Thanks everyone!

Would be epic if you could switch classes in the middle of boss fights lol, imagine if a summoner could let loose a primal and then while the primal is tanking you fully switch to black mage and start dpsing the shit out of it....but alas, you have to choose what class you will be using before entering a dungeon. *sigh*

It was handy on my shammy in WoW when I could switch from DPS to healing using dual spec if a healer bailed on the group or wasn't very good.

Still, I'd rather be able to have it all in one character

Well you can switch classes in open world but if you register for a duty finder dungeon as a certain class, once you are in that dungeon you can no longer switch to anything, so if you are a dps and the healer decides to leave you can't change your class to healer unless you leave the dungeon with the party and go back in as a healer.
