Bug Report: there is no AFK boot that's why the servers are so clogged

Surely other people notice this? I was playing my first day and I fell asleep, I woke up 4 hours later and my character was still LOGGED IN. Square you need to BOOT people who are AFK, that is a huge congestion issue. I have three people waiting to play on Hyperion and we can't get in ever.

?? Does anybody know when the next scheduled patch/fix is? I have to believe they are aware of this and planning on fixing it immediately.

Maybe because this is a game they actually want people to play? I really refuse to believe that their goal is to launch a server that never boots anyone, and also blocks people from getting on the server because 10,000 AFK players are logged in instead. Must be a bug.

Upon further review: SERIOUSLY? The servers are full and they're blocked because people want to sit AFK for hours or days, REALLY? I'm glad this was a cheap game because if they don't fix it, I'm quittin.

The bug is in the brains of players who do that crap. Sadly, nothing short of a miracle will fix that one.

FFXI didn't boot people because of their individual Bazaars. There was no REAL way to make full use of it except for camping your toon in busy areas and letting people browse at their leisure.

This game has no function like that, therefore, NO legitimate reason to NOT institute an Automated AFK DC timer. IF they had one from the start, there would be dramatically reduced clogging of the servers all the way around.

I feel the same. I paid 20 euros for the game, so not that bothered about writing it off.

I can attest to this being a bug. In that it's the veritable fly in my soup.
People who aren't playing shouldn't be on the servers. Kick them! KICK THEM ALL!
