HELP ; setup PS3 for FFXIV (analog sticks don't work)

Hello everyone,

so I tried the gamepad mode in the pc edition today and it worked fine except i cant move the camera around and I can't use the analog sticks? I can only use the D-pad for movement and the rest works fine I guess with skills/jumping etc. Anyone knows how to set it up so that it recognizes the analog sticks? And how do I set the left analog stick for character movement and camera movement for the right analog stick...? Sorry if these are all stupid questions but I just can't get the problem solved it seems. Oh and I tried to calibrate all the controls but like I said when I move the analog stick it tells me to then it just doesn't move. so yeh.

You use PS3 controller on PC? The gamepad controller needs to be X-Input compatible, so like Xbox360 or Logitech F310 (wired) or F710 (wireless). AFAIK PS3 controller on PC (via bluetooth) is not X-input device and not officially support.

You may hunt around to see how to configure PS3 as "Xbox360" via a 3rd party utility, but it is a bit of a hack job.

About the Gamepad
In addition to the gamepads listed below, all XInput compliant gamepads are compatible with the game. Furthermore, button allocations for all gamepad models can be adjusted. This can be performed when logging in for the first time, or from the Gamepad Settings tab of the System Configuration menu.

If your using the drivers I think you are with your PS3 controller, change the layout to Xbox360 or PS2 controller.
