ACN/SCH/SMN Macros & Cross-bar Setup

For the aspiring ACN/SMN/SCH's out there, post macros you are looking to create when EA starts, or have created during OB that you would think would be useful during dungeons, raids and anything else.

I know during OB when I was doing Sastasha, I was dealing with Emerald Carbuncle running after mobs that ran away during fight and with my Sic/Heal/Stay/etc. macros on my cross-bar set 2, he'd already run well off before I could even swap sets.

Now if I recall correctly my cross-bar setup for actions look something like this, and this is what I can remember from memory.

But anyway... share how you handle this class of jobs.

I pulled other DoTs like Aero onto the hot bar and pretty much would drop Miasma, Bio, Aero, Thunder, and then energy drain and ruin or help heal depending on what party needed. I also heard the Topaz Carbuncle did more damage than the emerald one, not sure if that is true or not.

Actually in my experience Emerald does more damage. You can even check the potency on Emerald's skills; they're higher. Some people may be confusing Topaz taking hate more readily for being stronger, idk. It has more HP and solid enmity multipliers, but the DPS Carbuncle is Emerald.

How I had mine set up in OB was on the left side starting with the dpad up was limit break, right was open for potions down was topaz, left was emerald, the buttons i left alone. The right side starting with the dpad up was sustain, right was aether flow, down was energy drain, left was virus. triangle/y was physick, circle/b was ruin, x/a was bio and square/x was miasma. The one thing I do wish with the cross bar is when the pet bar is active i want to be able to switch my bars like normal instead of going back between the currently active bar and the pet bar. I still have a lot to mess around with to make the best setup for me. I might just end up putting sic on the left side on one of the buttons.

No marcos but what i did for dd was use emerald Carbuncle for dpsing, had sic ,stay, place and follow on LT d-pad of 8th cross bar(hit R1 once and hold LT to use them then R1 again to go back to skills). Other than that was using Aetherflow and Energy drain after I used Bio so i could weave those in at a point where i would otherwise be standing still for 2.5s. Skills with cast time were on RT Buttons and Instant cast on RT d-pad. Cant remember what i had on LT, pots and summons probably.

Did anybody figure out how to make macros for the pets? Like in ffxi you would make /pet "Predator Claws" <t> or is using the pet attacks simply adding the action on the hot bar? would be nice to make macro that has multiple actions to save hot bar space

I'd imagine it would be:
/ac "Gust" <t>
Which would only work when Emerald was summoned. However I think it's pretty pointless, since the Gust command itself does exactly that.

What about healing the pet can you target the pet and use a normal heal spell or can you only use the spell that regens 8% of the health Overtime? and what would be an example of a Macro you would use to target the pet???? I assume /ac "physick" <pet name>

Normal healing spells work on the pet too.
