    It seems you really don't understand the class. If you are looking for straight up damage dealer, go other classes just like you did with THM/BLM. Like I mention, in dungeon, where we don't shine on single mob, we shined on multiple mobs. 95% of dungeons have 2-3 mobs for each fight. They take around 75-90secs to die (I timed it based on the Bio II DoT's, since it required me to cast more than 2 times). Your other classes are doing damage on single target based where we are dealing damage on multiple target with our DoTs (unless you are the type that just cast on one single target, then you don't understand the class). Like I said, by the time the party get to 3rd add, it already lost about 20-25% health. If you combine total number (including pet), we do more damage than other classes per dungeon. Once again we are DoT class. If you want, melting faces, then SMN is not the class for you.

    Y'know, I was with you right up to about here. I haven't seen many trash mobs that take more than about 20-25 seconds to die. It's extremely rare that I cast Windbiter more than once per mob, because by the time it wears off there's not enough health remaining to make it worth the cooldown. If mobs are really taking you this long, I have to wonder just how low your DPS is. . .

    So you are saying a malboro in av or drakes in (I forgot name but lvl 44/47 dungeons) die in 20-25 secs? Your party must be wearing godly gear. Let's say that's the truth. If that's the case, when you are shooting one at a time, SMN has applied DoTs on all if them. So first mob died in 20-25 sec, meaning 2nd mob already took 20-25sec of health loss and 3rd mob lost 40-45 sec of health when party get to them. Isn't that better than having to attack mobs with full health? Based on your 20-25 sec rate, then 3rd mob already lost like 60%+ more health.

    Congratulations finding two exceptions. Only, you're still messing up, because the Malboros in AV are single-target pulls, meaning Bane would be useless. Even the drake pulls end in about 70 seconds, because the drake takes about 30 and the two mobs with them take even less.

    Well my previous post in this thread was a bit ignorant as at the time I must have been grouped with really bad players. Since reaching end game I see how weak SMN really is. Our damage is well below the other damage dealers and it is noticed when you group with them. I have a feeling we will be reworked soon ( or atleast I hope) because right now we are the fat kids in gym class. Last to be picked if at all for activities.

    I simply have not run into this problem, aside from the obvious burst issues. Are you just basing your assessment off the Zam parser? It doesn't register Bio, Bio2, or Shadow Flare, as damage, and all three of those are in our core rotation.

    Would like to know how are her stats set up. I do perfectly damage and dots and I consider summoner a dps job and acn a dot class isn't why we were given a choice to choose btw smn and sch. will smn always will be a damage dealer. am a full time SMN so looking forward to doing testing these weeks to when am not busy.
