How is the Dev teams communication with the community ?

As far as Devs talking to the player-base over the forums to players

example, im a player coming from Rift and the Rift Dev team was VERY active in talking with and communicating with the Rift community

I'd imagine most of them are sitting at their desks being told to do nothing until the servers get upgraded, seeing as 90% of the posts are from 1017 issues. Not issues that they would probably gladly help people with.

I've actually never seen 1 dev post in any thread besides the stupid update ones.

There is almost no communication other than status updates. It does not appear that SE has CMs that post and are involved on any level in the forum community. That said, I cannot say that will remain the case as time progress forward.

LOL, you're joking about Rift, right? If not then it must be some time since you visited them because Trion's Dev Tracker is as devoid of 'dev' posts discussing topics with players as the Dev Tracker on this forum is.

Love it or loathe it, for me Blizzard is the gold standard when it comes to dev-player interaction, no other game has a 'Ghostcrawler' and every other game could do with one.

Yeah, they are just being silent now because they know anything they say will be met with harsh criticism because of the whole server full issue, expect it to pick up soon after server upgrades this weekend. Also, devs never really look at tech support threads in any games, this is really just here for us to help each other out. Don't expect officials from SE to be in here too often.

The dev posts are all separated for us for easy access on the right side of the forum main page. Yes they do communicate, but they are not going to communicate in hundreds of threads about the same topic, The server issues have been commented on, they are expanding the server capacity sometime next week. Unless that changes I wouldn't expect them to have anything else to say about that. But they have answered other questions. I think many people don't know where to look. And I'd say the communication here is better than many other sites.

Dev-player interaction isn't SE's way, it has never been seen in XI and won't be in XIV.

Maybe they talk to their JP players since they speak the same language but I've never seen a 'dev' post on the XI forums, the CMs like Camate on here simply relay info.

About Rift, yea Rift forums are dead right now because they are at PAX and Elrar got laid off and he was the known CM to hang out in forums, he even frequently hung out in my stream on Twitch and conversed with me and other viewers many times.

As far as the SE team i hope it gets better
