also this: When multiple characters are playing the same class/job in a party, the gauge for level 2 and level 3 limit breaks will now fill more slowly than before.

why...?

To stop stupid ppl from holding favoritism on classes or spreading rumors that a class is useless.

On like wow where everything is a dps race, SE like the idea of strategy over just being a dps junkie this is why every single class in the game has a unique ability that will help the group

For example there is a lot of idiots right now saying that SMN is bad and pointless to have in a group just b/c they lost 1 spell , mean while they are the only dps that can raise players or reduce 4 stats from the boss

the changes to LB is forcing player's to have at least 1 or 2 of all the classes in a group , giving all classes a room no matter how useless idiots think a class is

I think it's a still sad attempt at forcing players play the way they think we should. If you want to stack classes is your choice, stacking classes is bad anyway. There was no real reason to seriously stack em, and if you wanted two bards to interrupt instead of one well that's fine and is your problem not of the rest of the players, bard had always lower dps than most and you dont need their songs THAT much, that one bard shouldn't suffice.

Like you said it, those people are stupid or simply just say stupid things, like claiming SMN sucks and what not.

Sure, LB isnt that necessary to the point you couldn't live by having 2 of the same class (haven't really seen how much slower it goes) but it still is not nice having it dictated by it. Anyway. It would all boil down to how much slower it fills...

Sometimes people stack classes just because two of the players in their group, often friends, prefer to play the same class over the other. -shrug-

IS like you say LB isnt that necessary, is not like ffxi and the 2hr ability where with out it the fight was slim to nothing to win.

LB is there to smooth the fight not to win it , when you play with friends, fight arent as hard making LB a fun button but in pug LB makes a huge difference since Pug run can be a bit chaotic.

LB changes is more to control ppl discriminate on classes, If you wanna rely on LB you have no choice but to have 1 of each class but if you feel confident that you and your friends dont need it then you can set the group the way you want it

so at the end they arent forcing anything on the player

LB is there to win the fight in Turn 5. Or I guess, show me a group that can easily clear phase 3 without it.
