    Leveling other classes.

By what means are we supposed to level other classes? I started off as an Arcanist because I wanted to play the game with my husband. No big deal. At 15 I ran off to start Conjurer, which is what I intended to be otherwise.

So far, it has been a pain to attempt to level. I don't get the Gridania storyline at all, there are very, very few world quests to do it seems, so this leaves me with Fates, a few Leves, and the hunting log which is highly impractical when some of the mobs are 5-6 levels above you.

Is there any point at which we enter a common area to level together, and if so then WHEN? In beta everyone made it seem like it was "just after" the level 15 run around to all the zones. I'm 17 on my Arcanist now, I've done the city run around and I am back in Limsa, and I still have yet to figure out anything on where I am going and if we eventually meet a "common ground" where we can play with our other friends? Or are we just permanently separated by our classes in this game?

I bet a lot of people will read what you wrote and not get what you mean but I think you are thinking about areas where it is beneficial and obvious for people to group and party together...unfortunately that will only be dungeons unless you purposely go out of your way to always party with your husband for every little thing. The way they built this game with solo questing and occasional duty finder dungeons kind of deters the vast majority of people from really consistently partying. They tried to find a balance where anti social people can still get through the story (which i feel is a mistake in an mmo to begin with) and thus the system ends up feeling like "Well i could go party with someone for that quest but i can also solo it just as easily so meh.."

Now since you are 17 and based off what you said I imagine you haven't done Satsasha dungeon yet, that will be your first dungeon where you get to party with other players and feel that mmo experience, but overall there is no "common ground" where everyone will always be in parties and groups because to be honest...it just isn't necessary to progress.

**edit** Also to the first question what means do you level secondary classes, it is just as you presumed, grind fates, find the side quests, do the leves...but yeah no common ground where party play becomes a "Necessity".

I think they allowed for the many people who dont like to be forced in to group play all the time, esp just to defeat bosses etc. So there is allowance for several playing styles and that allows one to enjoy it more. There is no reason one cannot have a friend or a partner come along on quests any time too, they may not be able to help you directly but if they do the conjurer class they can at least heal you and bring you back to life Might be a lot of fun to play that way. Partner play.
