Bumped to a Japanese Server

When I made my characters I specifically picked the Ultros server because that is the server where my friends and family are, and it said that it was open to new characters. However, when I tried adding friends they couldn't find me. I logged out and checked my server and I had been bumped to a Japanese server. I don't mind the server, it's a fine server but it's not where I wanted to be.

So I made a new character and tried again, and again I was bumped to a Japanese server instead of being added to Ultros. Now with the new character restrictions I can't make another character (even though I deleted the ones that weren't on the right server) and try to get onto the server that I want.

What should I do (already sent an email/ticket)? I'm getting really frustrated because my friends are playing the game and I am stuck not being able to do anything because I don't want to make a character that is just gunna chill on a random server.

Your simply doing character creation wrong.

At this point you need to either hope the server you want gets unlocked or wait on transfers, assuming they even allow them between regions.

It's because after you create a character you THEN pick the server. You're just doing it wrong man.

Because you have to pick the server you want to make the character on first. What you did was make a character on whatever random server was preselected.

I only had to do it at the end, but he can try doing it both before and after.

It really can't which is why we assumed you did it wrong. Or the server was actually down when it said it was up. What may have happened, however unlikely it is, your client thought ultros was still up but it really wasn't so it picked a new server. But like I said, this really isn't possible because it should just say the server is closed, it doesn't auto pick a server for you.

Then I would have to assume the 2nd because the very first character I made I was told the wrong server by my friends and I had no problems with it. It's kinda hard to mess up character creation and then picking a server.

That wouldn't make any sense because I very specifically selected which server I wanted to be on. That's what's wrong. I very specifically picked and then I'm still getting tossed out.
