I have been trying to get back in periodically from the main menu using 'Start', picking my one character, confirming the dialog, and then dismissing the 1017 if I get it.

At that point, can I just try again from 'Start', or do you have to leave the game to the launcher and restart?

Or maybe, has anyone gotten in on re-attempts in this manner that can confirm that it would work, might be a better way to ask?
