probably has something to do with bard NOT being top DPS? bard is bad dude.... BLM and DRG wipe their ass with BRD damage....
Well this kind of makes me not want to spend any points whatsoever, since I'm only level 30 and I haven't even decided what end game job I really like, and even then you never know if you're going to be in the mood to do something else for a while or enjoy another series of class/job quests.

Hooray for conflicting design philosophies! We can choose any class we want at any moment and respec our stats if we choose. With our companions, we better wait until some theorycrafter tells us what's the best in a month and everyone will just use that. /hyperbole I was happy thinking about using a different stance based on what I need at the time. Here is a question though, can we get more chocobos? I wouldn't mind just buying two more chocobos and leveling them as different stances.
Addendum: Daily post limit is complete garbage. This is cogent to every post made because we are being limited in effective communication. Square Enix stop making me feel like I'm trying to support an MMO made by Soviet Russia.

Actually that would be sweet and not just that but why not chocobo breeding. I would love a white chocobo so I wont have to pay a ferry to get to Costa Del Sol.




Not yet, but Yoshida has talked on multiple occasions about chocobo breeding and raising being a feature they very much want to do, perhaps in tandem with iteration on the housing system that'll allow us to use the gardens for stuff like growing consumables.. or putting chocobo out to pasture. Another thing they talked about was an eventual basement addition for larger crafting projects (he cited airships as an extremely tentative example for that).Here is a question though, can we get more chocobos? Oh and the post limit only counts to the initial post. If you hit it, cut a chunk off your post, post what's left, then go to edit mode and paste it back in what you cut off; the forum'll accept it then for some reason. I just had to use that trick to attach this second paragraph.

I don't mind that allocations are permanent, but it would be nice to have access to more than one chocobo, or different builds for different classes. I need my chocobo to do very different things if I'm playing as Conjurer, versus when I'm playing as Gladiator.
I've started defender tree, but whats the point in increasing its HP etc. when he can't even keep up enmity with my autoattacks... Do I finish defender tree and get useless chocobo or put rest of the points in another tree and get useless chocobo?
Without knowing beforehand how much of a use specific tree can be inability to reallocate points is very punishing,
