What I just want to know is if you have to spend ALL your points in one branch to max it out. Seeing as the last ability costs 10 sp to get and that is the highest rank that would mean you would need to spend all of the sp allotted from the highest rank to achieve the maximum specialization in one area. Knowing this, it is poor design not to let the player mess around and try out different specializations before they commit to the entirety of a branch if you want all tank, healer, or DD.
For the people who say "stop whining, you were told!" this still doesn't deny the fact that you will be going in blindly to each spec, no one knows how truly effective each one is until it's said and done. Re-specialization NEEDS to be an option.
I posted a thread about this on the "New Players" help board but it wasn't adequately answered so I figure since most people go here, my chances of an answer are higher. Anyways, when you look at the active help for the chocobo companion skill progression it says something like:
"how you allocate your sp is up to you, be wise about your choices because the decisions are permanent"
Looking at this it seems too vague but implies that you will ultimately have an insufficient amount of sp to fill out ALL the skills and traits for your companion. If this is the case then what is my total possible sp gain? If I can't reallocate my sp then it seems like it would be a good idea to let the player know how much they can spend at a maximum. Also is the maximum "rank" for a chocobo 50?
Any help is appreciated, thank you!
This guy has the right idea, I would work for 10k seals if it meant I had the chance to respec.
