Er no.. it is not normal, american games do not have Japanese servers, and if they did I can be pretty certain they would translate first just like European games with multiple language servers translate their news.

Sure they do. There's plenty games out there that have Japanese/asian servers or are operated officially in Japan on the same servers (EVE is an example for instance). And moderators/Devs don't wait to have an official Japanese translation before they post on the forums.

This is a Japanese game, plain and simple. America/Europe can't always be the center of the world. Better learn to cope with that idea. We should be happy already that we get updates/patches at the same time, which is true for a very small number of games operated from Asia.

U seriously just need to stop and think about something for a second. In those games you are talking about the japanese playerbase is a big minority so they don't get the immediate attention. Idc if they are a japanese company because their game is being funded predominantly by the NA/EU audience. By doing what they are doing they are leaving their majority playerbase behind. Stop defending everything they crap out especially the stuff that makes zero sense.

Do you mind explaining why you're assuming that the majority of the playerbase is NA/EU?

The majority of the playerbase in 1.0 was Japanese, and looking at sales of every single final fantasy game ever, the majority is located in Japan.

So I ask you again. Why exactly are you're assuming that the majority of the playerbase is NA/EU?
