So completing each lv 50 DoH quest gives a "blue" ultimate tool? And these are BiS?

They are, the only thing that matches up to them are the Luminary tools

Thats funny. I didn't realize the post was originaly from August. So i'm like hunting through my achievements looking for a new main tool offered (not luminary just soething new) can't find anything. Thinking to myself, WTF are they talking about the "new ultimate weapon".
Then I realize this thread is from August and they're talking about the one you get for completing the lvl 50 quest. Haha oops.
I'm just disappointed that the "Luminary" weapons aren't luminous. I totally thought they glowed. Then, at about 4/5 of the way to getting my Luminary Pick, I saw one. It looks like a crappy level 15 iron pickaxe that's been spray painted gold color. The one you get from your level 50 quest looks WAY better. I got it anyways cause I was basically already there. I probably would have been fine with the look of it if it glowed lol

That is a shame, unfortunately there are two meanings of luminary!
luminary
ˈluːmɪn(ə)ri/
noun
noun: luminary; plural noun: luminaries
1. a person who inspires or influences others, especially one prominent in a particular sphere.
"one of the luminaries of child psychiatry"
synonyms: leading light, guiding light, inspiration, leader, expert, master, panjandrum, dignitary, VIP;
2. archaic a natural light-giving body, especially the sun or moon.
I have 2 luminary tools, I will use them over the quest tools always.
Harder to get, and they look awesome on your back.

Plus they got buffed now. The Luminary has the same stats as the level 50 quested piece, however they now have the added benefit of 10% reduced wear and tear.
That is a lexical connection, not a semantic one. :3That is a shame, unfortunately there are two meanings of luminary!
