Please adjust Tomestone crafting material requirements

Will we ever get an adjustment to the number of Tomestone crafting materials required for 2-star item recipes?

Currently every 2-star material requires 9 Tomestone materials like Animal Fat, Coke,...

But some of the 2-star items require 2 or even 3 such materials driving the cost from 1125 up to 2250-3375 Tomestones for one piece of gear with stats similar to DL which can be acquired for 495-825 Tomestones.

Yes, the crafted items can be melded with materia and become something between ilvl70 and ilvl90, but doing so can be quite expensive or will take a while to create all the materia yourself.

Why do crafters (the honest ones who didn't bot their way up to lvl50) get punished for putting alot of effort and time into leveling their classes?
Would it break the game to change the reciepes of 2-star items to require a maximum of 1125 Tomestones per piece?

Please consider adjusting material requirements for crafted 2-star items.

In time I expect them to roll back to 3 per. It's more to do with who is willing to wait it out and who thinks they need the 9 tome gear now, now, now. I can wait.

First off, I'll agree that the material requirements like 18 of the 125 tome items do seem excessive.

However, I'm not so sure that the proposed change will have the effect you want.
    - Prices (value) of finished item goes down as supply increases. Profit per item shrinks with it most likely.
    - As buyers fill all their slots, demand goes down.

On the other hand, people who would not have considered crafted items before now will do so since the prices are cheaper.

Which of these effects is greater? I won't pretend to know. But don't assume that change wouldn't just backfire completely.

As people have to cap their myth every week and the grind will just bring them 800 to 1000 philo anyway. I dont see why SE will lower this to 3. The philo mats have become over supply on a lot servers now.

Philo mat's are not over supplied they are crazy stupid expensive and nobody can afford them. "Oh but only 25K-20K-15K each".
I need 54 Potash and 9 Animal fat to make a suit as a weaver, not including Jewelry. I don't buy one knowing I need that many to meet objective.

You might not be able to afford them, but others can. If you don't want to farm the philosophy to make it, or have it made, yourself, then don't complain about the price tag.

The price of philo mats is a problem. Having trouble to afford materials for obsolete armor is idiotic. It only takes 10 -15 minutes to buy one philo mat, there is no reason that should cost 20k. It makes absolutely no business sense and kills the crafting classes more than anything since devoted raiders will just deal with DL gear to get Myth/Allagan and the upcoming CT gear.

Complain? I don't run dungeons. One star is fine by me.
Who can afford Philo Mats? People who run WP every day. They aren't buying them though. My reply was to 'over supplied' Philo. They aren't over supplied. They are out of range of the people you want to buy them. So don't 'complain' when they sit on the market board for 6 weeks and get undercut.

This drives me nuts, you need 7 coke for a Darksteel Ingot. A Darksteel Ingot is 300K + each on Excalibur MW. You need 2 Darksteel Ingots (plus a bunch of Darksteel and Rosegold Nuggets) to make Heavy Darksteel Armour.

HQ Heavy Darksteel Armour on MW on Sunday when I checked was 330k

Was the suit NQ vs the HQ version? Sometimes I see this on alot of philo mat items but it has been mostly the NQ run to the ground cheap and the HQ left being priced high still.
