    Um, actually Yoshi confirmed it's affecting low and high end PCs as well. It's not just PS3. It's the game priority system, and they're looking into it. Although it isn't happening for everyone.
    Also, Turning off other player animations has 0 effect on it for FATES lvl 30+ with a decent number of people.

    I'm a healer and high end fates show me almost NO enemies and NO players. ALL I SEE is pets and minions...it's agony.

    They just need to make End-Game FATE's similar to WoW's World Bosses or make them roam the entire map destroying most people who run into it causing a coordinated party to have to form to actually take one down and take it off of the mini-map. Right now, it's just ridiculous how many people are in FATE's in general.

    I haven't quite figured out the exact distance yet, but I found that standing far enough away from the mob causes it to appear more often. I have no tests to back this up, only what I've happened to observe.

    ya I dunno how I am supposed to level up my class since I can't do fates? I've tried running dungeons. The XP isn't as good but at my particular level the dungeons are such a headache because all you ever get is inexperienced players in the duty finder.

    Join FATE groups. Shout "looking for fate group" Most times someone will instantly send you a party invite.

    Sorry, you're wrong, it's not a PS3 limitation, it happens to PC users as well. It's a function of several factors which are common to both platforms. even high end PCs can experience some degree of the issue due to server lag and network congestion. Drawing priority or graphics culling would help, both mid-low range PCs and PS3 (culling is less of an issue for higher performance hardware). Overcrowding is a larger issue, and what no one is talking about is the simple fact that in a FATE designed to take 10-15 minutes of tactical play with a group of 8-16 players is taking 2-3 minutes with 75-150 players.That many players in a single FATE cause problems on the server, network and client side, and that's not even considering the rendering load on the PS3 or PC running the client.

    Both PC and PS3 engines will automatically limit the number of players on screen at once to maintain framerate. As you move through an area, the proximity of characters to you governs whether they are drawn or not. You can experience server side lag even just walking through a densly populated zone, so when you start a FATE in such a zone, lag is inevitable, and not related to the PS3. In a busy FATE with lots of adds coming in, as the player moves around, the client is changing which players, pets and minions are to be drawn which is why players will pop-in and pop-out as you move around. Graphics culling Could help this by changing the draw priority during FATE, but that will not address the server and network lag that affects all players regardless of the performance of their client.

    Yeah, we do have tab targeting....While holding L2 or R2 (to activate the cross bar), pressing L1/R1 will cycle targets based on your targeting filter.

    Began doing level 40+ FATEs last night. There's like no point to try doing them. It wasn't sometimes they wouldn't appear it was almost every time. Of 15 FATEs only one was I able to get more than 1.000 exp. PS3 player by the way. Pleeaaassse tell me it's been worked on right now. Pretty please. I'm very much considering taking a break from the game until it's sorted out. I'm not at all upset at SE. I'm just not seeing a point in playing if I can not do what I'd like to.

    2nd even on a decent PC on fight like Behemoth Fate, too many characters can´t be rendered so its start to fade out ppl - again - its not that easy even on an high end pc to not have that problem... ps3 only gets it faster cause the hardware is from the last century..

    Yeah probably it got to do something with the design, but yet maybe something can be done about it. This is why they shouldnt had made a PS3 version and should had gone straight to PS4, but whats done is done I guess. At least they are offering free transfer to PS4 and with free client download for those who bought PS3.
