    Priority for character visualization

    I play on ps3 and this is the actual priority on loading something on screen

    Arcanist's pets
    Companions
    Other players
    Enemies

    On ps3 or due to my internet connection there is a limit on elements on screen. This lead to big FATE (maybe 20-40 ppl with both pet and companion) to become a mass of ifrit/titan/garuda/chocobo that fight alone. Occasionally i see spawm a player or a little add but i tried twice and i couldn't see how the NM in vigil is like

    This need reconsideration. Other player's pets and companions should be the last thing you load

    One other bug (i hope is not intentional)

    If i have no target and press X in fate i target the monster even if surrounded by players. Then why if there is a pet i target him? Change this. Getting to a mob that is hunted by many players if pets are around is really awful and i don't see why i ever want to target a other player's pet when targetting

    I tried out the PS3 version in Beta 4- the targeting was not super desirable- however, I believe there are some options to alter some of the targeting defaults- have you tried any of those out?

    Posting in here to hopefully keep it somewhat alive. I am on PS3 and I have to say that the loading priorities are horrible. I noticed issues of the loading priorities first in East shroud around lv 22. This was day 1 of early access. Fates would start and masses of people would rush in to try and get credit. Players would start vanishing from the screen, leaving just a bunch of carbuncles. occasionally players would show up and if I was lucky, the FATE monsters would appear long enough for me to know where to cast Blizz2 so I could get some credit.



    The lag/loading cap/loading priority issue (don't really know what to call the issue in specific) can cause a lot of problems to PS3 players. It also affects attack/spell animations. Ill have my BLM cast Blizz2, and he'll just stay in casting pose since the PS3 is having a heart attack trying to load everything on screen. Coerthas so far is the worst (haven't gotten further yet).

    The FATEs leading up to Svara...90% of the time I don't see the wyverns/monsters on screen. i see a mix of ifrit and titan egis (an occasional fairy and carbuncle too) as well as chocobos. Players will run to the monsters and just vanish.

    In Svara's Fate, the dragon doesn't even show up 99% of the time. He'll show up for a couple seconds and vanish again. This issue is only going to get worse if there is a cap to what can be loaded on screen by the PS3. What happens when you go into an alliance raid and things start vanishing? There are two world Primals where you'll have a shed load of people coming in to kill Behemoth and/or Odin. PS3 users will have problems there too because You need to see the boss to not die and to target in order to get credit.

    Please address this issue Dev's. FATEs are impossible to participate in at this point on PS3 because the FATE ends before the monsters even load. Monsters should be the first thing to load and my characters actions should be a higher priority than loading other peoples characters/pets and NPCs.

    AGREED. I noticed this too in cities where there are no mass sets of enemies. Carbuncles seemed for the most part without an owner.

    Posting this because Behemoth has just spawned on Leviathan and absolutely nothing loaded. We fought him in Snowdrift and there was so much death because nothing would load for PS3 players. So many were complaining due to him not rendering. We then chased him to his dominion, in which he only showed up on screen for moments. Then the final battle against Behemoth. The dominion seemed desolate, even though the battle was happening. I followed the markers of attacks that left dark circles on the ground in order to try and do something. That did little it seemed. When I finally died, characters started rendering and I knew where he was, though Behemoth never rendered on screen. The loading priority needs to change so PS3 players can actually experience FATEs. Seeing the monsters is much more productive than seeing a hundred pets and chocobos running around.
