Starting town change

Hello!
I need some help or wise words from you people. When i started last beta phase i choose Gridania as starting town. Cause i were thinking "hey this is beta after the game lauch i can change town again" Well the game launched and i cant change town . Is There anyway like XI had than after you have done all main guests from town you can change town?
Or do i have to go another server and then change it back?

your town is determined by your class. once you hit 15 in the storyline you can do the airship quest to leave the town but yea you can't really "change towns" otherwise

Yes i know. But the thing than i have to carry gridanian mark on my shoulders.. It isnt a big deal cause i can choose my grand company, but still... i want uldah...

As far as I know, there is currently no plan to implement the FFXI type of story switching. Mainly because the main story converges between lv. 15-20, and the allegiance is more of a Grand Company thing in ARR instead of linked to starting cities like FFXI.

It was a while ago in the beta forums, so it might be lost for all eternity

I believe it was in one of those posts where the devs comment on what the testers were providing feedback on.
