Truly gutted :-(

Um its always been like this regardless of game, dps roles outweigh the healers and tanks massively as there is less responsibility playing the dps and people dont want it.
If you want to play tank/healer then do it and enjoy no queue times if not suck it up and carry on.
Problem for me is more of a time one, not having enough of it sadly :-(
And to make matters worse most of you will be going back to school soon :-p
Lol, sorry :-)
Then unfortunately the game is not for you. Its improbable to think all games will be able to cater to everyone
Edit: In response to your snarky remark regarding school. I manage a 12 hrs day 5 days a week and 5 hrs on saturdays every week.

That's unfortunate because even the intro dungeons take 30 - 45 minutes just to beat (time depends on group though). You are gladiator (tank) if your character info is correct on here so that should help if you decide to continue playing anyway.
However, this is an MMO and MMOs are made so that people team up and beat the content together. This isn't just a regular video game so more time is required. With that said, this game is more casual friendly than other MMOs. I heard about crazy 18 hour raids (REALLY???) in other MMOs and this game will have nothing like that.

I work full time (6AM-3PM M-F) and go to school full time (4PM-9PM M-Th), and I've managed to knock out the main story dungeons as a DPS. It's really not that difficult.

I play DPS (PUG, this is totally BS. I get in within 5-10 minutes every time.
“What if life was like a vapor, rising up from the heated viscosity of our existence? One minute it is thick and robust, full of depth, but instantly it changed and separated to near nothingness. What would it be like at the apex of separation? That point when all the steam has left your existence….”

Most people want to DPS. It is simple, depending on class not much movement involved. Minor hate for mistakes.
Healer, like the DPS, not much movement, different targets, a "miss" can cause a wipe. Any downtime breeds hate and comments about "terrible healer". The DPS that don't stay out of pain blame you for their death/downtime. More comments about your skills. The parties that go right, you might get a GG if you are lucky.
Tank, lots of movement, have to keep track of multiple things, keep control of everything. Any slip in any direction gets blasted by everyone else. They also share in the "DPS who gets smashed for doing something wrong" hate with the healer.
I can see why people don't want to take on these 2 roles. They get hate in game for doing their job when they queue. They are also getting hate outside of the queue for not being there for the DPS.
Please, if you want to have better queue times. Be nice to the people who are in these roles, including the DPS one.

I totally agree with it being only 4 man content all you need is 3 friends. I see multiple casual linkshells looking for members hit them up. My quote of the day "Don't wait for the game to cater to your time, make use of the time you have."You can make your own parties? And why not find some friends who share playtime with your and similar goals and ignore duty finder and queue's all together? If its the login issues thats a different problem but really the population is enourmous right now and you should be able to find similar minded players with ease.
