    Ordered 2 (PS3) CE Editions directly from Square-Enix and received 2 PC copies

    Let me start off by saying I love SE. I own every (NA) FF game; except those on Game Cube. I've also been beta testing and playing MMORPGs since 1996, and fully understand the steps their team has taken with this game.

    I run an online gaming community, which I've constantly updated with any and all information provided about FFXIV; issuing constant reassurance to them about any problems that they may be encountering.

    However... I purchased 2 (PS3) CE from SE, the day they became available. My wife and I waited... and on the 28th, we received 2 PC copies. I checked and double checked my order, and indeed purchased 2 PS3 copies.

    I sent in a ticket on both of our accounts (receiving no automatic reply) and began calling SE. The chances of reaching them right now are quite slim, but I'm trying. I played in 1.0, so I have a 14 day grace period. Today, however, is the last day my wife can play.

    Well you received something, I'm still waiting for my PC CE, since this account is not 1.0, I won't be able to play after tonight until I receive it, or until they fix my PS3 account to put it on this account...

    But I did heard about people receiving CE edition when they ordered a normal edition.. There was alot of orders that were also canceled, I just hope I will receive it at this point :3

    By "from square-enix", you mean digital river right? You can reach them thru 800 598-7450 I don't think SE support will have any help on that...I also opened one a couple of weeks back for my pre-order, and they just closed it - because of other priority issues (error 90000, etc...). Hope this helps!

    I'm very sorry to hear about your trouble and sincerely hope that you get it sorted, but after the hell I went through to even 'try' to get a PC edition of the CE... there's a part of me that's still kinda jealous that you got that. XD

    I just got off the phone with Digital Rivers.

    They said my only option is to request a refund and re-order.
    They said I need to send them back the incorrect order I received.

    I inquired if they could at least do overnight shipping or next day, since it was their mistake. I was told that I could change the shipping option, if I paid for it.
    I also asked what would happen if I requested the refund and attempted to purchase 2 PS3 CE copies, but they were no longer available, and they told me they can't do anything about it.

    Lastly, they sent me an email with an address to return the incorrect product to, but not a shipping label. All the email states is to send it to that address in the next 30 days; which means I have to pay to ship it back. Using normal shipping, that's 5-7 for them to receive it, then 5-7 for a refund and another 5-7 to receive the next copy. I already spent over $170 for both, and now have to pay more to fix their mistake, and still get my product late?

    Wow that sucks. Can you not 're-claim shipping costs later on though? Most companies will refund any cost to you for their mistake.

    If the physical CE items are of no bother to you, you could always just buy the Digital CE from PSN. It'll be cheaper too.

    They will include the shipping payment in the refund, but only at standard shipping, and that is still more money out of pocket right now. The CE items (Physical) are very important to me, as I have an extensive Final Fantasy Collection. I figured I could return it to them, request a refund and call a local gamestop to make a purchase (2 PS3 CE), but none of the 15 gamestops in my city have copies.

    So as it stands right now, I won't be able to play for at least 3 weeks, may not get a CE edition at all, and I purchased the product from the source on day 1. It's even worse since I'm the leader of my Shell/FC.

    All I really need is for them to provide me 2 CE PS3 codes to enter into the XMB interface. I already have the physical items from the PC copies they sent me. The thing that is mots aggravating is that they won't do anything to remedy their mistake or to make up for it.

    Cardios, I may be able to assist you. I have a PS3 CE that I would be willing to trade you for one of your PC CE's. My copy is currently unopened and as long as your's are as well maybe we can work out a swap of some kind.

    We could work out a code swap maybe.
