Other characters running around just looks absolutely awful. They slide around and it just looks so unnatural. Also, when using skills and moving at the same time, feet slide across the ground and it looks really awkward. They really need to improve the animation problems like these. The animations themselves are fine to me, it's just the implementation has a lot of problems.

I can weigh in on the PS3. The clay-mation animation of other characters is more about distance from you that anything, dropping frames the farther from you to keep performance high. If you look at the people right next to you you'll see their animation is almost as good as yours. Most telling that I've noticed with the PS3, though, is that there's no physics. No wonderfully flowing robes, no gradefully settling cloaks. No bouncing boobs. You all should play on the PS3. Now yes, I did play 1.0 and yes, there were alot more animations. It was also very PC-centric despite having been developed to play on the PS3. As it was I think it'd been the Crysis of the PS3 and we'd be hearing alot of complaints about housefires being started by exploding consoles.
As I've said every phase I've been in in the feedback section...
I miss the inertial animations of 1.0.
I think I read from the beta forums, that the animations are intentionally left this way for a faster movement response...
As it should be. Gradual speedups/slowdowns are directly counterproductive when you're trying to move in a precise fashion, which a lot of these fights demand. I know that the way things are now don't look as pretty, but the gameplay benefits in terms of responsiveness are worth it, IMO.

How about Guild wars 2 ? It has some freaking amazing animation and it's fast paced and doesn't even have delay on response.
I miss a lot of things from 1.0 , animation , DoF [I really liked the DoF when you were outside :c.], cutscenes and etc.

Even though they didn't affect movement in the slightest. They were purely cosmetic. Besides, it's not only the character animations that rook a massive hit; animations during cutscenes (well, cutscenes in general, really) completely lack the quality of 1.0's as well.
I think these current animations do not even compare at all to what we had. They feel completely weightless and cheap.
There were no gradual speedups/slowdowns at all, just variations of the running animations, but the movement speed always remained the same.As it should be. Gradual speedups/slowdowns are directly counterproductive when you're trying to move in a precise fashion, which a lot of these fights demand. I know that the way things are now don't look as pretty, but the gameplay benefits in terms of responsiveness are worth it, IMO.

Speaking of animation, my main problem (it's been a big deal to me since beta) is that there're no unique animations between races other than Sprint and the emotes. From what I've seen in clips of 1.0, every race had different battle animations/stances for every class.
I'd love to see that kind of variety in the game. To see everyone have the same stance for a class no matter what race they are is odd to me. Seeing a Roegadyn hop in place as a Pugilist/Monk, for example is pretty off-putting. You'd expect to see them have a sort of bear stance or something.

The most annoying for me is the sliding around when you use an ability while moving
