First off, I like to thank the development team as a whole for a great job. This patch really shows you guys are listening the fanbase. The display toggle for all UI additions already proves that. Also, this patch was exactly what I was predicting PLUS the NM galore that I really didn't expect at all.
Good job offering quick and accessible mid level content, instead of adding more 'end-game' stuff that will need to be redone as you finish the other major changes. I've seem some people logging on yesterday for the first time in a long time, just to check these new NMs in their level range. Who knows, maybe some of em in fact start playing again.
I haven't had time to check the actual new quests (>MUST GET NEW ITEMS<)(..got none yet, >_>), but judging by a few friends' words, they are also a bit improved, so again, good job.
Of course you cannot please everyone, and being a high level player myself, I do hope some more higher level content is added, but I'm also satisfied if you manage spread things up for everyone, and not just the select few who happened to rush to cap.
Please, understand that some people ARE going to be upset despite what you do, simply because it's impossible to please everyone, and do not completely close your eyes to their complains, as there's always something of value even in the most harsh criticism. After all, I believe what all players posting in this forum wants is to help, and sometimes people do get frustrated when things don't go their way and may sound rude, but they all want the same thing; You should just try to find a good balance between pleasing the different type of players currently playing.
With that, I will also provide my own nitpicking on those new NMs: I believe they shouldn't drop regular equipment so easily, as it will more likely than not affect mid-high level crafters. Now you can realistically get most mid-high level gear by camping these new NMs, and I fear crafters that relied in selling these items will have a hard time in the near future. I'd suggest to reduce their drop rate, or at the very least consider this for the next NMs. In any case, the fact that my only real problem with this patch is something that won't even really affect me (LOL) already shows how pleased I am with it.
I wish you all good luck and hope you keep the good work as you finish the framework for the new game systems and make Final Fantasy XIV a better game to everyone.
And I'm sorry if I made any spelling or grammar error; english is not my main language.
