Server issues aside, agree or disagree?

Final Fantasy doesn't need to be "saved" because it's not dead. It arguably needs to a knockout to return to dominance though. If anyone can do that then I think it's the FFXII Director.
So far, XIV is replacing VI as my favorite in the series. Really excited for next week when they can resolve the login issues so everyone can easily joy the game.![]()

Aside from the god awful server issues currently this game is pretty damn good, assuming you're able to log in of course.
From a financial perspective it certainly has a chance. XI capped out at 500k subs, but due to its excellent player retention it has become the most profitable FF ever.
If XIV could maintain a similar subscription base then yes, it could very well be the steady source of cashflow the company needs to bankroll future projects.

I think 14 has done some well needed justice, even with the rocky launch (which was to be expected).
Amazing game, amazing team who created the game, and when all settles the dust settles, it'll be an amazing community too.
"Final Fantasy died when they made [Insert the FF title I don't like here]."
^Get used to seeing that because this topic will be sure to provide a lot of it.
This. It's the best game I can never play, and I literally mean never. I hope things change next week, or possibly tomorrow when the EA access runs out.

Lol for someone that can never play, you seem to be leveling up those classes, one at 23, one at 10, one at 12, and the rest are 1-3 but yeah you can NEVER play lol. Ridiculous
