Rested Experience

Just out of curiosity, is rested exp working for anyone? I have logged out several times in my inn now and the next day when i get on I have not obtained any rested exp bonus.. Is their a certain level it starts working or what? Someone said you have to actualy click the bed and lay down to get it but I remember just BEING at a camp site the exp bar would go blue. Also when I log in he hops out of bed so I dont see the difference.. Any ideas?

When you kill something or gain exp you dont see a +x% next to the exp you just recieved in the log?

I logged out this morning in my inn by clicking the bed, ill post here again when I get home from work and let you know if the bonus is aplied for me or not. So far though the bar has never changed colors even once for me.

Well it does turn blue.

It's working fine for me, are you sure you're logged out in a sanctuary?

its working for me, I know any place that is counted as sanctuary grants rested bonus this even counts or the encampment, best way to look it is when you have a crescent moon under you exp bar its sign of being in sanctuary and it will grant rested bonus not as much as sleeping in bed in the inn but bonus none the less, also the colour changes if the bonus is more then what your current lvl needs.

OP somehow sounds like you expect to get some exp right when you log back in.
Thats not how rested bonus works. You get a bonus for your next kills, gathers, crafts after you loged back in.

It only changes the color to blue if the rested bonus goes all the way to a lvl up, if not, you'll a darker tone that is the rested bonus

While I will say my rested exp is working, id like to mention that I believe there may be a strange balancing issue with how the bonus is distributed. It worked pretty good in phase 3. But I don't know, in the final version it seems to not last at all. Granted it could be that I'm able to play daily now instead of waiting to the weekend, like we did during beta. However, I've noticed the rested bonus i got between OB and ER, when I was actually able to play for a bit, my rested EXP didn't last but a few levels, maybe less, when I had started leveling armorer from level 1. That seemed very unusual to me. It almost feels like the bonus is now scaled based on what level you are, instead of a raw number of exp boost. So say I waited to use that same bonus on my lv 20 MRD, I wonder if it would of lasted a couple levels. I could be wrong, but something does feel a bit off with the rested EXP now.

the best way to tell is not the colour of the bar but the presence of a second darker coloured bar.
so you will see your normal bar, then past the bright bit you will see a darker bar extending out and then it will either stop or go to the end of the bar (in which case the bar itself will change colour)

Resting bonus seems be be based on the length of the exp bar, and not actual exp numbers. Example, 1in long resting bonus on my level 20 char. is probably 10k exp, however 1in long on my level 1 char. is about 100exp. I'm pretty sure it works that way because in P3 I noticed I blew through my bonus super fast when I switched jobs, but if I stayed on my main it lasted longer. I logged out in an inn after P4 at level 17, I'm now level 25 almost 26 and still have a full bonus, that's literally hundreds of thousands of exp still going. I don't want to switch to an alt because that would only be a few thousand.
