thanks for explaining that.I suppose the chocobo license should rather be a "ride a mount" license.
Anyway, you indicate you see the Goobbue in the Actions & Traits -> Mounts so you'll be able to call it once you get the chocobo license.
You can get that after joining a Grand Company through a quest called My Little Chocobo.
but now i'm a little miffed at Square--why did they take something away from me that i had in 1.0? i shouldn't have to redo what i've done to get something i already had?
i'll go do the quest now though...maybe.

isn't the "riding license" only available after the Ifrit fight and then joining a GC?
i think that's why i opted for the gobbue originally in 1.0, thinking i'd be able to carry him over to ARR.


You still have the Goobbue... You just have to join a GC and get the riding license first to ride it.am i missing something...or did Square just take away mounts for solo players?

believe me, i'm used to that. but that's why i got the gobbue in the first place, so i wouldn't have to go thru all that.
not sure why they'd change up on me but gonna try and find out why.
