SE, PLEASE STICKY A THREAD ABOUT HOW TO RETRIEVE OFFICIAL LAUNCH REGISTRATION CODES

The forum is getting littered with new threads about people who have deactivated accounts because they only had EA codes registered--and don't know how to retrieve their launch date codes.

Amazon should have them available when you log in and check history/status.

Gamestop will show an icon in their download/install app to reveal them.

Forget the details on retrieving them from Digital River.

Basically, if you didn't get an email for a digital download version---go back to who you got it from to retrieve the final code.

For physical product... check your box or manuals.

In any case, you can go back to your order page (by entering your order code in www.findmyorder.com) and you will be redirected and there you will find your code. Also, you can check your spam folder for an e-mail with this adress: webhelp.v4@digitalriver.com which contains the same official launch code.

I go to log on tonight and I'm asked to register my code. I did that last Friday! So I put it in anyway and quite naturally it says the code already registered, duh yes it is. Now what. I went round and round thru my SQ account through the Mog Station and back. I'm in limbo land. My SQ account shows that I have a registered FFXIV account from June, Beta 3, but that I'm not registered. The Mog station shows I have 3 toons, which I've been playing up until this evening, but they are not associated with an account and they are inactive. WTF! But if I try to use the code I used last Friday, which I got by registering the promotional code I got from digitalriver, it says it's already been used. Which of course it has. Logging into the forum's just now I had to create a new user name, BUT then I had to select one of my "inactive" toons as a rep. I have 2 tickets started with the help folks but I've got a real bad feeling about this. Obviously I won't be on this weekend. Sheesh!

Oppps, my bad I, didn't realize about getting a second code, the real code, to play the released game. I found the email and put it in and I'm off and questing once again.

I had this come up tonight when I tried to log in, and it turns out that Digital River borked my order somehow and I never got charged. So SE thinks I'm trying to scam them and my game access is restricted because Digital River was overloaded with preorders. And of course all digital downloads are now frozen because there's not enough capacity for the player load. *cry*

I should've ordered from Amazon in the first place. (Doing that now.)
