    Tanking on PS3.

How is tanking on the ps3? I got my Arcanist to lvl 30 and I already want to switch classes/jobs. I am thinking of becoming Marauder. Its already a pain in the butt to talk on ps3 as DD with a keyboard. I also cant see myself marking things mid battle with my controller...

It's harder because the camera seems worse on the ps3 and it's slightly laggier. The response time just isn't the same. Plus you can't have extra hotbars set up with potions or clickies and stuff. It's a lot of hotbar switching.

You can't quite have everything at your disposal the way you can on PC.

It's doable but I felt I did worse on PS3 than PC. And I use controller on PC. Half the time it was because of camera angles in tunnels and such that never seemed to be an issue on PC.

Hi, I find it very enjoyable.

    1) set up UI right to be able to see environment, enmity , your hp etc...
    2) Macros : with the right settings it saves lot of space in the crossbar.

I am not high level so for now I don't have trouble.
It takes a bit of time to set everything right but once done it is very fun and easy to use.

Firsts dungeons marking is a bit overkill in my opinion, ask then to assist you.

For talking i use a controler that has integrated keyboard, but if you can have an USB keyboard on your side to quickly say something it will help you. For example ask arcanists to not use topaz but emerald carby

A good idea is to make a macro that combines your standard attack action with marking the attacked target with the Mark Number1 - that way everyone knows who You (the tank) are attacking

If you manage your bar and make macros for your buffs to condense stuff down, it's quite good.

I find it really fun, once you get your hotbars set up and learn where everything is it really is simple. It really depends on preference, as in do you prefer controller or keyboard and mouse. I'd say try it out and see what you think, first few dungeons are easy enough to get the hang of it and know where to put skills etc and nothing bad will come out of levelling another class.

Like others said the secret is in the macros one macro for all buffs and macros for combos will make life relay easy then some time to get use to the new setup and your good to go
