Automatic server choice => wrong zone

Hello,

I started playing yesterday. I wanted to start from scratch, so I deleted my 1.0 character on Hyperion and created a new one.
All servers were unavailable at this time, but when I tried to validate my new character, it worked anyway and put my automatically on Typhon server.
I played for a few hours, took my gifts items out of my inbox, and just as I logged out I noticed that I didn't know in what server Zone I was put :
bad news for me, Typhon is a japanese server and I leave in Europe and don't speak Japanese...

So here are my questions :
- will I ever be able to migrate to an european server
- if I delete my character on Typhon and create a new one on european server (if there's any vacancies...) will I lose my gift items (helm, behemot baby, coeurl mount)?

Your gift items are for your account, i.e. you will get them on every char you own. Idk about switching from the japanese servers to NA/EU tho. They are planning to implement server changes, but thats also a datacenter switch. So i'm unsure if you'll be able to do that.

SE haven't indicated whether cross-region transfers will be possible so there's no way of knowing if this may become an option for you. You may well have ended up on a JP server because all NA/EU servers were locked at the time you created this character.

As Dhampir2 says, each new toon you have gets their own toys so that's not a problem, what might be a problem is that last time I saw all NA/EU Legacy servers are locked for character creation with no end in sight, while others in the server farm get locked and unlocked from time to time.

Since datacenter transfer is not planned and items are for all characters in my account, I think I'll create a new toon.

It isn't a frequent case that ALL NA/EU servers are locked, this is a dynamic process so server load can mean locks come and go, so you'd be unlucky I think to find there are none at all for any length of time, but some like the Legacy servers are 'hard locked' (as per SE's regular update posts) and will be for the foreseeable future it seems to me.
