Then it's not a DD piece, it's a tank piece, the set you want to obtain for DDs is the Infantry set from longstop, not Cavalry. The only reason LNC/DRG "can" use it is for lore purposes, mechanics wise it would just be a dick move depriving tanks of their ONLY set in that dungeon, when you would have two sets available, no?

Just because it has higher strength doesn't mean it's a DD upgrade, all melee pieces have strength and vitality as stats regardless of role. Look at the secondary stats and ignore defence as a DD as you shouldn't be planning on getting hit in the first place.

If you really want it that bad, either run the dungeon with friends and ask if you can have it or level a tank and roll need on it.

Just to reiterate: Just because your class is listed, doesn't mean it's good for you, MND rings are labelled as all classes, you can't roll need on those as DRG either.

Also, there is GLA/MRD/LNC gear that lancers have priority on, they have determination and/or skill speed on them and no parrying, don't hear (good) tanks bitching about not being able to lot those, maybe the "DDWARs" but that's not for here. Aethereal sets also have some randomised stats, standard steel scale set does not have any DD stats therefore is flagged as a tank set.
