Legacy Characters Class/Job quests?

Hi guys, I recently was able to play the game again (got lucky and able to log in) and I noticed that our level 50 classes again needs to repeat the class quests to get the lvl 15 and 30 skills of their respective classes.

Is this the case for our Jobs too? Do I need to repeat all my DRG and PLD quests to get their skills/AF etc.? If so what will happend to the rewards considering we already have the AF and skills from 1.0? double AF? Thanks and hope some players who already played a lot can give some info on this thanks

You will have your af and skills, but there are 2 or so class skills you unlock early on in the quests. other than that you re-do it all just for completion sake. consider it a part of the main story package.

Ok I heard they give a different lvl 15 and 30 class skills that's why we have to earn those again. But what about job skills? any new job skills that we can earn by doing it again and will we get 2 sets of AF cuz of it? thanks

just the 2 skills. you will already have the rest of your job abilities. You wont get another set of AF. If you are referring to the second AF set, you get that from an NPC in mor dhona by trading an item that I believe is unobtainable atm. (tomestones of mythology)

very nice then. no pressure to do the job quests for now. Ill just finish off the class quests for those skills etc. I'm an rpg guy so I'm willing to do them for the story in the future. Just not now because i like to explore all the new things in this game as my lower level classes

So what do we get instead of the skills and AF if we re-do the job quests? gil?

It is for the peopl who need the quests. You are just doing them so we all are on the same page 1 year from now.

AF is actually better than it was before. All the gear/items have been compressed. Crappy stuff is better, and awesoem stuff is worse. It is impossible to be poorly geared now. I think the DPS on the relic lance is maybe 1 point below ifrits at this point.

Yea i regretted not getting the relic weapons. I was on and off during 1.0 only kept my subscription cuz I wanted to keep supporting SE when they announced 2.0. I bet it is harder to get the wepons now while armors much easier. Only got the PLD and DRG AF1 on me. Really glad how this 2.0 turned out to be since my investment did not go to waste and even convinced my RL friends to play the game

You are right tho. it is almost impossible to be poorly geared now. quest, dungeon and GC items are so powerful and cool looking now all my DATED gears I'm now discarding except for the few im keeping for some sort of antique set collection lolz
