4th day... been trying for 4 hours to get in on my charecter... sick of this...

They knew it was coming, it started doing this at open Beta there is no excuse for this. My character was on diabolos but SE transferred me to Hyperion (1.0 player.) Now I can't even create a character on diabolos (I was already on there as I stated) but now I can't play with my wife or friends from FFXI that I haven't played with in years... They simply could have pushed back early access and the game a week instead of all the bullsh*t we're currently having to deal with. knowing I can't play ahead of time is better than telling me I can't play when I want, they are the ones running the server I paid for a service and they aren't delivering, again.

I agree with you there; they definitely should have been better prepared. 'specially since there was a server cascade failure in phase 2, i think it was, so they knew what would happen if the servers started getting over-loaded. To be honest I think the biggest issue is the afkers; if people weren't afking on the servers then they would probably be cycling over as per usual with the 100person queues that are in place.

I got into the game for a little while today and guess who is having no problem getting into the game.... GOLD FARMERS spamming chat.

It's people like this that fail to understand the actual implications of SE's actions and instead offer up their own blind sense of self-gratification for their inability to fix the issues. This has by far been one of the worst launches in MMO history. Fact. Just because many MMO's have horrible launches does not preclude SE from solving the actual issues. Their lack of communication and vague blog posts do nothing but further anger players who WANT TO PLAY THE GAME. It's not about being desperate or up-tight, it's about playing a game we paid for; simple as that. Before you rush to blame us (the players who make the game run) you should understand what you're arguing and what we are arguing about.

I believe the saying that goes here is 'no use crying over spilled milk'. What I am arguing for is that there ARE issues, noone is DENYING the issues; there is also bad communication, noone is denying that either, but making a scene about it when the game hasn't even been officially released for 3 days? EVERYONE is frustrated, everyone wants to be playing but that's just not the way it is right now. People are acting like SE have this grand plan to bring out a game and stop people from playing it on purpose to what? rub their hands together and eat pop-corn while the player-base explodes? They are just as aware as you are that people can't play, and are probably even more aware of what it's going to do to their sales, so why can't people just let them get on with fixing it?
And, for that matter, why are people so angry that other people aren't getting angry?

4 days of trying to get on my character and cant, each day afterwork I try and cant... im about to uninstall this game and tell everyone I know not to play it cause this shit aint worth it....id rather play ff11 again or swtor were I can actually play...launch or not..this shouldn't of happended and im super disappointed

I am quite disappointed by the way things have been going for the past few days.

This is not the gaming experience I was hoping for when I got this game.

Not letting people into a Server, that
a. they have payed to be on.
b. they have already created a character on.

really leaves me confused.

What happens when they add new Servers? are they going to spread people out, possibly breaking up groups and such?

No when they add more servers it just means more room on each serer plus new ones...they have it capped so it won't crash. once things upgrade they won't need to cap.... hopefully

I understand where you're coming from. I wanted to join my friend on Server A, but couldn't get in so I made a char on server B.
