There are server issues and the servers are artificially capped to prevent them from going unstable and preventing ANYONE from playing. Right now they're doing their best to make sure SOME people can play and it's really unfair of you to blame them for trying to make the best of an unexpected situation. If you're really so desperate to play then do what other people are doing; roll on a free server, usually Japanese, and then do a character transfer later when everything settles down.
No launch goes without errors and if you're really going to get so up-tight because you can't play immediately, then yeah, please go play TOR; that'll free up server space for people who are actually willing to calmly wait it out.

It's people like this that fail to understand the actual implications of SE's actions and instead offer up their own blind sense of self-gratification for their inability to fix the issues. This has by far been one of the worst launches in MMO history. Fact. Just because many MMO's have horrible launches does not preclude SE from solving the actual issues. Their lack of communication and vague blog posts do nothing but further anger players who WANT TO PLAY THE GAME. It's not about being desperate or up-tight, it's about playing a game we paid for; simple as that. Before you rush to blame us (the players who make the game run) you should understand what you're arguing and what we are arguing about.

I believe the saying that goes here is 'no use crying over spilled milk'. What I am arguing for is that there ARE issues, noone is DENYING the issues; there is also bad communication, noone is denying that either, but making a scene about it when the game hasn't even been officially released for 3 days? EVERYONE is frustrated, everyone wants to be playing but that's just not the way it is right now. People are acting like SE have this grand plan to bring out a game and stop people from playing it on purpose to what? rub their hands together and eat pop-corn while the player-base explodes? They are just as aware as you are that people can't play, and are probably even more aware of what it's going to do to their sales, so why can't people just let them get on with fixing it?
And, for that matter, why are people so angry that other people aren't getting angry?
