Petition to Change AFK Icon

Ok guise, hear me out. The current icon is a chair symbol, which is funny because when they are afk they aren't sitting down somewhere else, they are laying down in bed either asleep or Jackin' it with their bros for hours on end.

That's why I propose for them to change the icon to that of a bed, so when you see it you'll know that they are getting a good night sleep (or happy ending).

This is what I think it should look like.


As you can see you can either perceive that he is asleep or is lifting the bed sheets for some unexplainable reason. Give me your signs so that we can make AFK icon closer to its symbolism. :3

that seems sleeping though, AFK is currently an empty chair because you aren't there. It seems fitting.

Actually I think the chair seems really random and weird. It did take me a while to realize that it symbolized an *empty* chair, and thus meant AFK.

It wouldn't hurt them to just put "AFK" there instead, like every other MMO does.

I can agree with the whole "sleep" concept, but drawing a whole guy in a bed icon is overboard.

I respectfully disagree. The empty chair is very much a good representation, as that is effectively the only thing at the keys. It's not so much that they are doing something with the chair, rather, the player IS the chair.

there shouldnt be an afk symbol it should kick those people from the server

and before someone spews more "derp there wasnt one in 11" crap, there is no personal market in 14 so theres no reason to sit afk for hours/days at a time

So true. That's why I think they shouldn't change it to a bed, but rather to a hand showing us the finger XD
