    IMO they need to first drop the current braindead gathering... Then I'd worry about how useful it is. ATM I just avoid it simply cause if I wanted to watch TV, I'd do it without playing FFXIV.

    In 1.0 gathering was somewhat fun... In 2.0 - Press 0 four times, move to next node, press 0 four times, repeat x9999

    But I guess people like braindead game or they like being able to watch TV while playing for some unknown reasons.

    What they did to the gathering classes from 1.0 to 2.0 is really a tragedy. It's one of the changes in the transition that makes me weep every time I think about it.

    Yeah, I'm glad I maxed most of the gathering classes on 1.0 so I didn't have to go through the horror on 2.0 lol

    If fishing gets things to do with the fish then they job needs to be made 100x harder to level. Or at least on par with other crafts.
