ok square get off your butts and fix the servers this make 2 days in a row I cant log in because of the 1017 monster im about 2 more 1017s from quitting and turning my WoW account back on it may be repetitive as hell but at least I can play it for christs sake. you guys had every opportunity to blow blizzard out of the water with this game but it aint gonna happen if people that's been faithful since 1.0 release cant even get on!!!

It is frustrating, but it means the game is good and popular. They already announced today that they are implementing increases to server capacity that should roll out in the next week. This means more players allowed on servers. For now, the 1017 is a temporary fix to keep more players from logging in than the servers can handle. I'm in the same boat, but I know the high population is a good thing and the fact that they have posted multiple messages regarding this issue and letting us know how they're fixing it is much nicer, and faster, than anything Blizzard ever did at WoW launch.

P.S. - WoW launch had the exact same problems for the same amount of time. Just be patient, and this game is going to continue to kick ass.

They are not making the worlds bigger only adding more worlds as said in the post about the 1017 error. I hope the do both though

I played wow at release, i got the game at midnight. I did NOT take them the same about of time. It took them less than 12 hours. I tried in til 4 am of continued DC problems. Went to sleep, got up at noon and played all day, as did everyone else. No one was locked out for 4 days, no one had to try and spam connecting because the que was disable most of the time, the rare times you get a que you do not wait for 10 min longer just to get 1017. They also did not close support tickets because they had to many, they worked through them and got things fixed. The failed at testing the game before release and we are paying for it.

I also played WOW at release and have to agree that i may not have picked it up at midnight as i was at work but when i got off at 8 am i bought it had it installed by 10 am and wasnt able to play for about 30 min because of emergency maintanance. but after that no problems playing

The game needs less apologists like you. Idgaf if its launch week. the same issues have been happening since freaking phase 4. all the way to early access and now the launch of the game.

Cry me a river? When you can't log into a game and they are taking what a week to fix it, that isn't a game a whole heap of people will be interested in. It is taking them THAT long to fix they may as well not bother because the new server space will not be required.

I'm with Max on this one, we're paying for a service to be available. That service is not available. I have yet to see SE offer any sort of recompense or hints at making things right for their community. They have explained that they're out of capacity and will fix it, but even EA had Sim City fixed faster than this and they at least made some pitiful effort to say they're sorry and offer some crappy game. At this point I spend 2-4 hours/day attempting to log in. That's 2-4 hours/day that I'm not leveling up or enjoying a game that I'm paying for. If I wasn't paying for this then beggars can't be choosers and I'd be patient with SE, since they're charging me I expect a service in exchange for the $ that I put up.
