i would also like to know why in the hell they keep toggling new character creation. if people who already have characters cant login new players should not be able to create characters, period.

oh you can play, but by this point people realize its much easier staying logged in all day and night rather then fighting the queue which then leads to select few getting in. This isn't even factoring bots that the chinese GIL farmers are flooding in having free reign.

Way to be completely misleading with your thread title. Go to a different server. Balmung is THE MOST POPULAR NA server. So it's your own fault for trying to play on the most popular server at an MMO launch

Yeah, not so much. They dropped the ball and their answer? To bottle neck the ammount of people who can be on so now you have people who won't log out when they're done in fear they won't be able to get back on. 4 days I've been unable to play when i get home from work and it's not until 10 or 11pst time am I able to login. This is the worst MMO launch in a long ass time.. Seriously.. 3rd day and "world is full". Don't even get a queue.. just dumped out. You can't blame the user base because the company failed to plan or think ahead.

Also, show me an actual statistic that says Balmung is the most popular server. I don't believe it for a second lol

Ahahahaha, you can stay logged in all day. If your client crashes you have to come back out to the login screen to deal with the crappy servers. Don't even think of trying to rejoin the duty finder because you'll be flagged with a 15 minute cooldown because FFXIV ARR game client and server obviously didn't get "beta" tested.

Over-reacting? Expecting to play a game I bought is over-reacting? Expecting not to spend 3-4 days in a row unable to log on until almost midnight my time is not unacceptable? I don't even get a queue, I get told the world is full and dumped out. I'm sorry, but this is a bad release and product and taking a week to get around to fixing the issue is unacceptable. This is their 2nd game, did they not improve or learn anything from their first? I bet they won't have any problem charging my CC or take a week to get around to charging me when it's time for me to pay my Sub.

I remember this. The game was unplayable for two weeks. They stopped the sale of the game digitally. I remember waiting 2 hours in queue a few times only to get booted shortly afterward. And the bot spam. Holy crap the bot spam.
