Sometimes no egg?

got the same problem too, i'm from Ul'dah, and can't get the quest, i try my luck on Gridania, same things, i dont know what is wrong with this problem. -_-

edit: doesnt work also on limsa lominsa.

Ok, so left town for a bit, came back and talked to the egg NPC with the "!" again, and...
"You are unable to receive an Archon egg at this time. Try again later."
.__. lol

In XI you had to wait one game day to get another item. When the clock hits 0:00 try talking to the NPC again.

yeah, it was my first time trying to talk to the npc

I also just tried the other cities just incase. No luck either.

Ok, can't even start the quest with 2 characters. (Who both have appropriate rank.)
And can't get a second egg on other characters. (Maybe it's longer than a 1 hour wait.)

Checked some other forums and there are other people who can't even get the quest to activate.

I dont even know how to get the egg either, make a new char at LL and dont get the egg
