I also like steadfast like it is. Why would adding it to a toggle switch make any difference? You would still have to wait the 30 sec for it to be active. So if you don't want it to go off move and if you do stand still or move just sightly to get lined up.

Now, I feel to accept that controlling steadfast will prove our skill in Marauder.
May be no need to make it can toggle.
But I think there should have some way to activate steadfast in time of need.
How about Foresight will also activate steadfast stance when use?

That's exactly what i think...but i'd use enduring march to activate it since enduring march is pretty useless atm.

I still maintain that you should be able to toggle Steadfast on and off, more so now that it doesn't immediately go when you "wiggle your joypad" as it stays with small movement. I'm getting better at it, I still make the odd mistake but my feelings on this were re-enforced last night in Nanawa Mines Behest. Steadfast in a confined area probably cost us a quarter to a half of our potential SP.

Don't get me wrong I think Steadfast is an important part of a Marauder, I just feel it is not implemented to its full potential.

Indeed. Small area + MRD that isn't paying attention = terrible.

Its almost as bad as nuke-happy mages that just turn /aoe on and go mess others' behest. In these cases i often prefer to use maim or keep stepping back before a skull sunder/brutal swing. Or, when i'm in good mood, just keep running around the mob...it not only prevent steadfast to activate but also hits them from the side, supposedly giving a lower evade rate from monster.

One thing I'm sure all of you realize, but I'll go ahead and mention anyway.

Some Weapon Skills do not go to AoE, even under Steadfast. So if there's a chance I'm going to accidentally AoE, I'll usually switch to WSs that don't AoE under Steadfast. That means no Skull Sunder or Brutal Swing, but I can still use Maim and Trunksplitter.

Trunksplitter is an extremely s#!tty WS. I don't even have this crap equipped at my MRD. IMO a good MRD don't need single target WS...for me even Maim should become line AoE with steadfast.

Its all about skill IMO...like a mage that turn aoe on/off as needed instead of just leaving AoE on and screwing everything around.
