Well, no one technically paid for the service yet. Even if you own a physical copy of the game, you only bought the license to use it.

He's necroed far more than just two. If people are tired of the constant necros, you can probably report him for spam. The stickied post from the CM states "Please do not make a simple post just for the purpose of "bumping" a thread", so the report may have some merit.

It's already the most Single Player MMO out there. Most of the content can be done with Duty Support. Sorry you're gonna have to play nice with others the 3% of the time you have too.

I'm new to MMOs, as the only one I've ever played was a pseudo-MMO/single player RPG hybrid in White Knight Chronicles, but it was nice to have an option to play if the servers were down.

I don't know if this is just the newness factor, but paying $12.99 to MAYBE get on a server in order to play the game doesn't sound too appealing. If you pay for a service, you should receive the service - no maybes. I'm loving the game. Its awesome and I have very little complaints, but this is one of them.

It'd be nice if they just let you tool around the world, interact with NPCs or do other quests while offline should you encounter server problems, or a full world, or a queue that does nothing. Sidequests, leves, story and guild instances all tend to force you to be solo anyway.

I understand the whole basis of an MMORPG is a massive online venture... but at the same time, XIV forces me to be online to do 90% of the game solo, outside of dungeons and FATEs.

This is an MMO, a Massive Multiplayer Online game. There is already a "single player mode" it's called the new Trust system and MSQ. Or job quests, most of it is already solo content with the exception of fates, alliance raids and raids in general. You can do everything you want just about solo. As for offline, that's a double negative that makes zero sense given how this is a MMO. If your ISP is so bad or you're in the middle of the Bikini Bottom in the Pacific that you are constantly getting yeeted by your server maybe this isn't the game for you.
