I <3 this update

Yoshi-P did a great job with this. This was pay to play caliber, the first in a long time. The new gear sets the tone for the battle engine ahead, this is the baseline and it's a very good one. Midlevellers everywhere have some really great things to look forward to when they pick the game back up again. All the gear, in relation to the R50 gear we have, almost begs you to ask what materia will do to this equation.

Second, where are the companies? You're starting them. Right now. That player alluded to on the lodestone page who starts it is you. Did you spam enter on the quests? You shouldn't have. That was your first company quest, and you kindof have a lot to do with their rebirth.

You can tell the wheels are finally starting to turn again.

This patch is great. Among all the content and useful changes, the UI feels so snappy and responsive now. Great, great improvements today.

i know a lot of people are complaining about the NM drops and what not because its not R50. but guess what, this patch was aimed for people who quit a long time ago. people who stopped playing around lv20-30s because they wanted to wait for something big. this is what they were waiting for and for them to come back and play, kill a few NMs that drops items around their level, they can feel like they can pick up, do some content, and be back into the game

im glad that they did what they did in this patch. so many people complain, but they do not see the big picture at all. this patch is full of win. if the upcoming patches in the upcoming months were half of what they did in 1.17, people are going to have to start paying pretty soon i assume.
