Actually i do not think the problem is that they WANT to use the 1017 instead of a queue. The queue does still exist.
I think its a problem with either logon or lobbyserver, why they cant place everyone in queues.
If they go down, noone can log on...
Still a greater queue would be awesome.

I guess this game isnt meant for the working class. I was able to get on Saturday night and havent since then. Shame on me for not being home 24/7 so I can play a video game huh.

Re-enabling the queue will, as we've clearly seen, cause instability and crashes. A "working queue system" is irrelevant if your infrastructure can't handle the amount of requests coming in at any given time - the only solution is to treat it like a surge protector; on one second, off the next. This is obviously oversimplification and conjecture on my part, but it's the only logical conclusion I can come up with at the moment.

Also, don't get me wrong, nobody is impressed with SE's lack of communication and constant apologetic demeanor. I'm certainly not trying to make excuses for them, just trying to give a rational explanation for their decisions, seeing as how they're not doing it themselves.

We can sit on their forums and rage until pigs fly, but in the end this game kicks ass, we all want to play it and we will - regardless of our threats, however empty they may or may not be

so tired of having to fight for a spot on my server just to be able to play for a couple hours a night simply because I lose out on an hour+ just trying to get into my server.

This is the only MMO I've played that doesn't have a queue for a full server. And caps for the queues themselves is just stupid. I've played games where the queues have been 3000+ people. Yeah, I didn't get on right away, but I knew that I was going to get on eventually not be locked out for three quarters of the day.
