Uhh A major patch in LK brought the servers down for a whole weekend. Or was it BC? I just remember sitting in ironforge when it happened.
Anyone else wonder what Moogle tastes like?

Diablo III's Error 37 plagued players who simply wanted to play a single player game for over a week.
And WoW's initial launch was no picnic either. That was, if memory servers, a month long issue.
And Blizzard's Customer relations, especially on the community level pales in comparison, currently. However, that does not make me hate the company. It's just something I would like to see them, and all gaming companies, improve upon.
The tale of XIV's developers and community staff, wide open for us to see. It's ascended Yoshida to rockstar status among the fans here, and that sort of thing is usually reserved to independent developers.
AAA companies can learn to get a little bit more personable with their base. Having the community see you as a person rather than develop an 'us vs them' complex really goes a long way towards the feeling of general goodwill.

I think they still want money (Yeh?), so they'll iron this crap out eventually. There was that one day when I couldn't log in at all, but recently I've been able to log in within a half hour to an hour, so that's progress yeah?

You're a White Knight.![]()

Around 2006 -2007 Blizzard entertainment upgraded their log in authentication platform which left a lot of people unable to play for roughly 3 months and no compensation... Try to fail less next time.I've never seen a Blizzard issue that hasn't been fixed in days, if not hours
Umm WoW had so many bugs in the game itself, not just mentioning their server instabilities at launch. FFXIV had what...some server connection errors mostly due to the volume of people using duty finder? Nah, I'm behind Yoshi. His heart is in the right place. They have issues to fix. I'll still be here. Because for every person that joined the SE Bash Bus and wants to quit because of imo normal game launch behavior then that's one less person I gotta fight for a spot in the server to play an amazing game.
no
for anyone who may be thinking of starting another mmo someday, open beta should last at least 2 weeks. everything that is happening now is the result of some bona fide genius deciding they would only stress test servers for 2 days
I love the 1017 edition :P but i know square is straight to the point when it comes to fixing it
